About kwadviseurs
De Kruijf & De Waal adviseurs has supported businesses throughout the Netherlands from Oosterbeek since 2001.
We believe automation should create room for better advice. We organise processes efficiently, document work carefully and make sure several colleagues understand the developments at each client.
We are a compact firm and know our clients personally. Several colleagues stay informed and can help. We want clients to feel comfortable contacting us, even with a small question, so we do not charge every brief exchange separately.
Sound files, clear working arrangements and recorded particulars provide continuity and make our service less dependent on any one person.
Our former motto was “Trust is good, verification is better.” That attention to verification remains visible in our independent second-review principle: important work is reviewed by another colleague. When preparing annual accounts, one colleague compiles the file and another reviews the result.
Our team includes professionals affiliated with the Dutch Register of Tax Advisers and registered with NIRPA. Professionals affiliated with the Dutch Register of Tax Advisers are bound by its professional rules and disciplinary system. Continuing professional education helps keep their knowledge demonstrably current. Through the Dutch Register of Tax Advisers, kwadviseurs also participates in Horizontal Monitoring for Tax Service Providers, where controlled processes and quality-assured returns are important.
Our history
De Kruijf & De Waal adviseurs B.V. was founded in 2001 by Hans de Kruijf and Rob de Waal. Max Kirschbaum joined the firm in 2012 and took over from Hans in 2020.
Since 2014, kwadviseurs has participated in Horizontal Monitoring for Tax Service Providers through the Dutch Register of Tax Advisers. This long-standing participation reflects our focus on controlled processes, careful documentation and quality-assured tax returns.
Today, Rob de Waal and Max Kirschbaum jointly form the management of kwadviseurs. The formal company name is De Kruijf & De Waal adviseurs B.V. We primarily use kwadviseurs publicly; KW is also used in informal and technical contexts.
Our team
kwadviseurs has a permanent team of twelve people, including its directors. Everyone has their own area of expertise or focus. At the same time, we share knowledge, document developments carefully and ensure that several colleagues understand each client file. This combines personal involvement with continuity.

Director
Rob focuses primarily on larger and complex client files and has final responsibility for accountancy work within kwadviseurs.
Director
Max is responsible for payroll services, tax and automation. He also develops Maxus with support from The PortalGuys.
Clear fees
For hourly work, one fixed hourly rate applies regardless of the colleague or type of work. We generally invoice each month for work completed during the previous month. A fixed monthly advance can be agreed if preferred.
